Fix 2: Storage Permissions

Gmail needs storage permissions to access and attach files from your mobile device. Here’s how to check the same on your Android or iPhone.

On Android

Open Gmail app info > Permissions > Files and media > Allow permissions .

On iPhone

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone and then select Gmail .

Step 2: Tap on Photos at the top.

Step 3: Allow permission to access your photos.

Fix 3: Check Google Drive Storage Status

Log in to your Google Drive account and then check how much storage is available to store new emails and attachments. Files greater than 25MB are shared via Google Drive. So you need enough storage space. If you have too many shared files, you can always remove them to create more storage space.
