- ALT+Printscreen: Takes a screenshot of the active window on any monitor and sends it to the clipboard.
- CTRL+ALT+Print: Captures screenshots of all the monitors in one image.
- Windows + Shift + S can instantly launch the Snipping tool.
Method 1: PikPick
Some screenshot tools allow you to configure their settings so that they will only capture screenshots of one monitor. PikPick is one such tool you can install and use.
Step 1: Download PikPick and open it. Then, go to File > Options.
Step 2: Uncheck the Capture multiple monitors option.
Step 3: Move the screenshot tool to the monitor on which you want to take the screenshot.
Step 4: Click on File > Fullscreen , and it will instantly take a screenshot of the current monitor.
Method 2: Snipping Tool
The Snipping Tool replaces the Snip and Sketch tool. While there is no direct option to select a monitor, you can use the Selection method to take screenshots of any monitor manually.
Step 1: Press Windows + Shift + S to open the snipping tool.
Step 2: Select the Rectangle option from the list next to the video camera icon.
Step 3: Left-click and select the area covering the monitor on which you want to take a screenshot.
Step 4: Release the left-click, and the Snipping tool will reveal the screenshot in the built-in editor. You can then edit it further in the Paint app.
