• You can share the entire screen, a single app, or a single tab from your browser on Google Meet.
  • When you share the entire Window or screen, you will be presented with an infinite loop on the default Google Meet interface.
  • By default, when you share a screen on Google Meet, you can still see participants on one edge of your screen.

How to Share Screen (Present) on Google Meet

On Google Meet , you may share a window for a particular open app, your entire screen, or a single tab on your browser. We show you how to do it below.

Present Entire Window

When you present your window, you share an instance of a specific open application. Below is how to share the screen.

Step 1: Enter your Google Meet meeting.

Step 2: Click the Share icon at the bottom of the screen; on the top display, click Window , click your preferred window, then click the Share button.

Note that this option does not allow you to share audio. The share audio feature only works when you are sharing a single tab.

Present Entire Screen

When you present your entire screen, it includes all apps on the screen. Even if you open new apps, they become part of the presentation. Also, when you share the screen, you do not have to share a Whiteboard separately. Below is how to share the screen.

Step 1: Enter your Google Meet meeting.

Step 2: Click the Share icon at the bottom; on the top display, click Entire Screen , click your preferred screen, then click the Share button.

Present a Single Tab

When you use Google Meet on your browser, you can present a single tab. The name of this option may be Chroe Tab, Edge Tab, Brave Tab, etc. It is usually named after the browser you are using. Here are the steps to share a single tab.

Step 1: Enter your Google Meet meeting.

Step 2: Click the Share icon at the bottom. On the top display, click Chrome Tab, click your preferred tab, and then click the Share button.

Step 3: Optionally, you may enable the Also share tab audio option. This way, if an audio or video is playing on the tab, it will be transmitted to attendees.

Add a Whiteboard to the Presentation

When you share a single browser tab on Google Meet, you cannot present a Whiteboard simultaneously. To share a Whiteboard, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Click the more icon at the bottom of the Google Meet interface and click Whiteboard .

Step 2: Click the Start a new whiteboard option on the right pane.

Step 3: Click the Zoom icon at the top right and click Just present this tab .
