- You can download a PDF version of your Google Docs file on a desktop or mobile device.
- On Android, you can access the download option from the Save & Export feature, while on an iOS device, use the Send a copy option.
- You can save the downloaded PDF to any location on your device.
Save Google Docs as PDF
Despite a few differences, the steps are similar for Android, iOS, and Desktop devices. We will walk you through all of them below.
On Android Devices
Step 1: Launch the Docs or Google Drive app on your phone and open the document you want to convert to PDF.
Step 2: Tap on the three-dot menu at the top right and select Share & export .

Step 3: Tap on Save As > PDF Document > OK . The file will be saved on Google Drive. To download it to your phone, follow the next step.

Step 4: You will be taken to a new screen. Tap on the download icon at the top. The PDF file will now be available on your phone; you can easily share it with others.
On iOS Devices
Step 1: Launch the Docs app on your phone.
Step 2 : Open the document and tap on the three-dot icon .
Step 3: From the menu, select Share & export > Send a copy .

Step 4: Select PDF from the pop-up menu > hit Ok > select Save to Files .

On Desktop
Step 1: Open the Google Docs file on your PC from the Docs or Drive website.
Step 2: Click on File in the top bar > choose Download as > select PDF document .

Step 3 : A dialog box asks you to name the file. Name it and save it.
