• Reset network settings on your iPhone from Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset.
  • Open your router’s settings, select Wi-Fi, and enable the Wi-Fi network to appear on your iPhone.

Common Fixes

  • Force restart your iPhone : Press and quickly release the Volume Up button followed by Volume Down. Press and hold the side button and release it when the Apple logo appears.
  • Change your Wi-Fi network name : Access your router’s Wi-Fi login page (e.g., 192.168.1.1), select Wi-Fi settings, and rename it. Your router will restart automatically to show the Wi-Fi network name.
  • Move your iPhone close to the router : Keep your iPhone close to the router to receive adequate signals for network detection.
  • Restart your router : Long-press the physical Power button on your router to restart it. Alternatively, unplug the router power supply, wait a few seconds, and plug it back in.
  • Update iOS : Head to General > Software Update, and tap Update Now (if available) to update your iPhone .

Fix 1: Reset Network Settings

Incorrect network configuration on your iPhone can cause issues showing a Wi-Fi network name. To fix this, reset all network settings on your device.

Step 1: Open iPhone Settings , select General , and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone .

Step 2: Select Reset and tap Reset Network Settings . When prompted, enter your device passcode to confirm it.

Fix 2: Connect to the Network Manually

If your iPhone fails to connect to a saved Wi-Fi network , head to the device settings to connect to the network manually.

Open the Settings app, select Wi-Fi , and tap the saved network name to connect it. Alternatively, tap a discovered Wi-Fi network and type its password to connect to it.

Fix 3: Check Router Settings to Ensure the Network Isn’t Hidden

A Wi-Fi network may fail to show up on your iPhone if it is configured as hidden in the router settings.

Open the router settings manually using the Wi-Fi login page (192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1), select Wi-Fi , and turn on its discovery toggle.

Note: Wi-Fi settings may differ on your router. Check its product manual to enable Wi-Fi discoverability.
