• Open the OneNote Windows app > File > Office Theme drop-down > select Black.
  • Go to System Settings on Mac > Appearance > select Dark.
  • Open the appearance settings on your iPhone or Android device and turn on Dark Mode.

How to Change OneNote to Dark Mode in the Windows App

To turn on Dark Mode on the OneNote Windows app, go to the account settings and change the app’s theme color. Please note that doing this will turn on Dark Mode for all the connected Microsoft apps. Follow the below steps to do it.

While the OneNote Windows app allows you to change your theme colors, on macOS, you must change your system settings to get Dark Mode on OneNote. Please note this will turn on Dark Mode for all features and apps on your macOS device. Here’s how to do it.

Enable Dark Mode on the OneNote Android App

There are two major ways to enable Dark Mode on the OneNote Android app: the first is through the app’s settings, and the other is through your device’s Settings menu. Follow the below steps to turn on OneNote Dark Mode using both.

Method 1: Using OneNote Settings

Step 1: Open OneNote > tap on your profile icon > Settings .

If you change your iOS device’s setting to Dark Mode, it will automatically enable Dark Mode in the OneNote iOS app as well. Here’s how to do it.
