- To quickly post polls, navigate to the desired channel/group > Poll > Enter your question and options > Send.
- Using PollBot, search and start @PollBot > Add PollBot to your group/channel > follow the instructions.
How to Make a Poll on the Telegram Channel or Group
On Desktop or Web
Step 1 : Launch the Telegram app or open the Telegram web.
Step 2 : Navigate to the channel or group in which you want to do a poll.
Step 3 : Click on the paperclip icon in the bottom left. From the menu, choose Poll .
Step 4 : In the New Poll pop-up, enter the question you want to ask along with poll options.
Step 5 : You can customize the poll by allowing the users to choose multiple answers or by making it a quiz mode.
Step 6 : Once everything is set, click Send .

On the Telegram Mobile App
The steps are the same for both Android and iOS. However, for demonstration, we are going with Android. If you are on iOS, follow along.
Step 1 : Launch the Telegram app . Then, navigate to the channel or group where you want to do the poll.
Step 2 : Tap on the paperclip icon in the bottom right corner. From the bottom sheet, choose Poll .
Step 3 : Now, enter the Poll question and add in options. Under Settings, you can customize your poll by toggling on Multiple Answer or posting the poll in Quiz Mode.
Step 4 : Once everything is set, tap on Create in the top right corner of the bottom sheet.
There you go. You have successfully created a poll with multiple answers or in quiz mode.
How to Create a Telegram Poll Using a Poll Bot
There are several poll bots on Telegram. However, for this guide, we will use the @PollBot. PollBot runs through a script built by a third-party Telegram developer to create polls. The steps are the same for both the Telegram channel and the group. Follow the instructions below.
Step 1 : Launch the Telegram app . Place your cursor on the search field and search for PollBot .
Step 2 : Click on Show more if the results displayed do not contain PollBot.
Step 3 : Click on PollBot from the results.
Step 4 : Activate the bot by clicking Start .
Step 5 : On the PollBot chat window, click on the display picture .
Note : When using a PC, click on the three vertical dots at the top-right corner of the screen instead of clicking the display picture.
Step 6 : Select Add to Group or Channel on the three horizontal dots.
Within the search window, type out the name of your group to bring it up. Click on your group or channel, and you should get a message from PollBot showing it has been added.
Step 7 : Now, navigate to the group or channel where you added the bot.
Step 8 : From the chat window, select /newpoll , or on the text bar, type /newpoll@PollBot .
The PollBot will provide guidance on setting up your question along with the poll options. Note that you can still add a maximum of ten options to a poll.
Step 9 : Type /done once you have completed setting up your poll.
The poll goes live, and it prompts users to provide answers to your poll. You successfully created a Telegram poll and posted it on your channel or group.
No, once a poll is created on Telegram, you cannot add or remove options. However, you can end the poll and create a new one with the desired options.
Participants in the chat receive a notification when a new poll is created. They can then participate by selecting their preferred option.
