How To Clear Instagram Search Suggestions On Android And Iphone

You can delete a specific search suggestion on Instagram by tapping the “X” icon next to it.
To remove all search suggestions at once, go to Your activity > Recent searches.
If you prefer, you can also prevent Instagram from suggesting accounts altogether.

How to Delete a Single Instagram Search Suggestion

If you only want to remove one entry from your search history on Instagram or remove individual entries manually, here’s how to do it.

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Tap on the search icon at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Tap the search bar at the top.

Step 3: You will see a list of your recent searches. Tap on the X button next to the entry you want to remove.

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your smartphone and tap your profile icon in the bottom-right corner.

Step 2: Select the hamburger menu in the top-right corner and select Your activity .

Step 1: Head over to the Instagram website on your computer using the link below. Log in to your account.

Step 2: Click More in the bottom left corner and select Settings .

Step 3: Uncheck the Show account suggestions on profiles checkbox.

Note: If you disable suggestions using this method, your profile will also not be suggested to others.
