Step 1: Open the chat window in WhatsApp. Tap on Block at the bottom.
Step 2: Check the box for Report contact if it’s a spammy message or an attempted scam. If it’s a friend you want to avoid, simply Block them.
Note: When reporting a WhatsApp number, the number is added to a Watchlist maintained by WhatsApp. If the number is reported multiple times by many users, it will be banned temporarily. Think of it as a warning to curb spam. WhatsApp may ban the number permanently at its sole discretion.

Step 1: Open the chat window where you’ve received the message from a business. At the bottom, you will see two options: Block and Continue . You know which option to pick.
Step 2: Enter the reason for blocking the business. You can also choose to report. Once done, hit the Block button.
If you’ve blocked contact on WhatsApp, they cannot directly message you again. However, they can still message you in a common group.
If you block a contact on WhatsApp, both calls and messages from them will be blocked.
