• Instagram doesn’t support stickers for posts.
  • Gallery apps or third-party solutions can add stickers to Instagram posts before uploading.
  • Not all stickers are available to everyone or for reels.

Add Stickers to Instagram Stories on Android and iPhone

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your iPhone and Android.

Step 2: Tap Your story at the top, and select a photo from the gallery or use the built-in camera.

Step 3: Instagram opens the story editor menu. Tap stickers at the top.

Step 4: You can pick from several ready-to-use stickers. You can add your avatar, emojis, questions, location, hashtag, link, clock, and more as a sticker. You can even add another photo as a sticker to an Instagram story.

Method 1: Use the Photos App on iPhone

Step 1: Launch the Photos app on your iPhone. Select a photo you want to upload on the platform and tap Edit at the top.

Step 2: Tap the markup icon at the top. Select + beside the color wheel and tap Add Sticker .

Step 3: The Photos app opens the default stickers menu. You can add an emoji, memojis, fitness, or Mario Run stickers on photos. Tap Done to save changes.

Method 2: Use Third-Party Apps on iPhone

The trick above is available on the Photos app for iOS 17 or later only. If you have an old system version, use third-party apps. You can check our dedicated post to learn how to add stickers to photos on iPhone .

You can use instant messaging apps like WhatsApp or Telegram or reply on dedicated photo editor apps such as Pixlr to add stickers to photos. You can post such photos on Instagram.

The default Gallery app on Samsung Galaxy phones comes with several sticker packs. Let’s check it in action.

Step 1: Open the Gallery app on your Samsung phone.

Step 2: Select an image and tap the edit icon at the bottom.

Step 3: Tap the emoji option and select Stickers .

Step 4: Samsung divides stickers into relevant categories. You can add emojis, expressions, shapes, word art, bitmoji, AR Emoji, date stamps, and shapes as stickers on your photo. Tap Save at the top.

On Samsung phones, you can also tap + and add top stickers from the Galaxy store.

Method 4: Third-Party Apps on Android

Step 1: Download Pixelcut from the Google Play Store.

Step 2: Launch the app and tap + at the bottom. Select an image you want to upload to Instagram.

Step 3: Open it in the editor and select Add sticker .

Step 4: Add a sticker and tap share at the top to save it.

After you add stickers to photos on Instagram, you can share the photos on social media.
