• WhatsApp Web has not built-in option to add a contact.
  • You can download the InTouch Extension for Chrome to save new contacts via WhatsApp Web.

Use InTouch App to Add New Contacts Using WhatsApp Web

InTouchApp is a contacts manager app that lets you add contacts directly via WhatsApp Web . You don’t have to refer to your phone every time to add a contact and then sync it with WhatsApp Web.

Step 1: Install the InTouch App on your iPhone or Android phone and on your desktop as a Chrome extension.

Step 2: Once installed, open the app on your phone and then allow access to your contacts .

Step 3: Tap the Plus icon > Scan QR Code .

Step 4: On your desktop, click the InTouch Chrome extension to show the QR code.

Step 5: Scan the QR code shown on your desktop using the app.

Step 6: Open WhatsApp Web in a new tab or refresh the existing tab.

You will now see a couple of new options in the WhatsApp Web window.

Step 7: Click the Plus icon at the top-left corner and then click on Add new contact .

Enter the contact details and then it will be visible directly on WhatsApp Web.

You can also choose to secure your WhatsApp Web with a password to avoid unwanted access.
