- Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and turn it off.
- Use the list of apps in the Location Services screen to disable location for specific apps.
- You can also scroll down on the Location Services page, select System Services, and disable a service’s location.
Method 1: Disable Location on iPhone Using Settings
Open the Settings app > go to Privacy > Location Services > turn it off.

Method 2: Turn off Location on iPhone Using Shortcuts
You can create a Shortcut on your iPhone to turn off location services with a single tap.
Step 1: Open the Shortcuts app and tap on the + icon to create a new shortcut.
Step 2: Search for the Open URLs shortcut in the search bar and tap on it in the search results.

Step 3: Tap on the URL text to add text to it. Now, enter the following URL:
prefs:root=Privacy&path=LOCATION
Step 4: To add the shortcut to your home screen, select share .

Step 5: Select Add to Home Screen . Tap on Add again > Done . The shortcut will be created and added to the Home Screen.

The above methods disable location services for all apps and services on your iPhone. If you want to turn it off only for specific apps or services, follow the below methods.
Method 3: Turn off Location Services for Specific Apps
If you don’t want to disable location system-wide, you can disable it for specific apps.
Step 1: Open the Settings app and select Privacy & Security > Location Services .

Step 2: You will now find a list of apps. Tap on the app and select Never to turn the location off completely for the app.

Method 4: Turn off Location Services for System Services
Here’s how you can disable location access for all the system services and elements on your iPhone. However, we do not recommend doing this unless you have a legitimate concern.
Step 1: Open the Settings app and select Privacy & Security > Location Services .
Step 2: Tap on System Services . Turn off the toggle for the system service you want to disable location access for.

Method 5: Stop Sharing Location With Friends and Find My iPhone
Here’s how you can disable location sharing with your friends and disable it for Find My iPhone too. Keep in mind that once you disable GPS access, you cannot use the Find My app to find your iPhone when it is lost.
Open the Settings app > tap on Privacy & Security > Location Sevices > Share My Location > turn it off.

Note : You also have a list of friends with whom you can share location. To disable a particular friend’s location, tap on the name and turn off the toggle.
Method 6: Turn off Location on iPhone Message
Lastly, you can also check if you have enabled location sharing on iMessage , which is basically a live, real-time location. Here’s how you can disable it.
Step 1: Open the chat of the contact with whom you are sharing the location.
Step 2: Tap on the Profile and hit Stop Sharing My Location .
