- You can enable the three-finger swipe down or the Quick Tap gestures to capture screenshots without physical buttons.
- Alternatively, enable and use the floating Accessibility Menu to capture screenshots.
- Third-party apps like Screenshot Assistant or Screenshot Touch let you capture screenshots without the power/volume buttons.
Method 1: Use Gestures
You can use Gestures to capture a screenshot – on Xiaomi devices, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Gestures > enable the Slide 3 fingers down gesture.
Whenever I swipe down on the screen with three fingers, the device captures a screenshot.

Method 2: Use Quick Tap (Pixel Devices)
On Pixel or any device running stock Android – go to Settings > System > Gestures > enable Quick Tap . Then, select the Take Screenshot option.
You can now tap the back of your device twice to capture a screenshot.

Method 3: Use Accessibility Menu Shortcut
The Accessibility Menu packs handy shortcuts that can be accessed by a floating button.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Accessibility Menu and enable the shortcut.
Step 2: You will see a yellow floating button on your screen. Tap on it. You will find a set of shortcuts. Tap on Screenshot .
You can access this floating menu and the shortcuts while using any application.

Method 4: Use Quickball
You may also find the Quickball or Assistive Ball – a floating menu that contains useful shortcuts.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Additional Settings or Special Features to enable the same.
Step 2 : You will see a floating button appear on any app you are using—tap on it and then use the capture screenshot button.

Method 5: Use Third-Party Apps
If you’re uncomfortable with or unable to find the above shortcuts, use a third-party app from Google Play Store to capture screenshots without physical buttons.
1. Screenshot Touch
Screenshot Touch adds a floating button to capture a screenshot. This button is available on any app you use.
Step 1: Download and open the Screenshot Touch app and enable the Accessibility service .
Note: You will be redirected to the Settings app. Select downloaded apps and enable the Screenshot Touch app.
Step 2: Then, open the Start capture monitoring service in the app, and the floating button will be enabled. Tap on it to capture a screenshot.

2. Screenshot Assistant
Screenshot Assistant is an app that lets you capture screenshots as you tap and hold the home button.
Step 1: Download the Screenshot Assistant app, open it, and tap on Assist App Preferences.
Step 2: Then, replace the Digital Assistant app with the Screenshot Assistant app; meaning you can’t access Google Assistant from the home button shortcut.
Step 3: Once you do the above, tap and hold the home button to capture the screenshot.
