• Toggle AssistiveTouch off and on under Settings > Accessibility > Touch.
  • Reset the AssistiveTouch feature on your iPhone.

Common Fixes

  • Check screen protector – Thick screen protectors can restrict touch inputs, leading to an unresponsive touchscreen . Consider replacing it with a high-quality one.
  • Ensure the display responds to touch – Drag the AssistiveTouch floating button around to ensure all touch inputs on the screen are functioning properly.
  • Restart your iPhone – To access the power-off slider, hold volume button + side button and drag the slider to turn it off. Long-press the side button to reboot.
  • Update iOS – Open General settings on your iPhone and tap Software Update . Select Update Now (if available).

Fix 3: Adjust Idle Opacity

If you can’t see the AssistiveTouch button after enabling it, its Idle Opacity may be set to zero. Drag the visibility slider in its settings until the button is visible on your screen.

Step 1: Open AssistiveTouch settings and select the Idle Opacity .

Step 2: Drag the slider to make the floating button visible. It is nearly invisible at 0% and completely opaque at 100%. For best results, keep it at 40%.

Fix 4: Reset All iPhone Settings

If nothing works, resetting all iPhone settings should fix AssistiveTouch not working on your iPhone. This will reset your location , home screen layout, privacy settings, and more to default.

Step 1: Open General settings and select Transfer or Reset iPhone .

Step 2: Tap Reset and select Reset All Settings . Enter your device passcode when prompted to confirm the action.
