- Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version.
- Enable Wi-Fi calling for a better call experience over Wi-Fi networks.
- Check for carrier updates and reset network settings to improve network connectivity.
Basic Fixes
- Restart your iPhone: If your iPhone hangs up during a call, restarting it is the first thing to try. It’s one of the basic measures to solve most software problems.
- Check network connection: Before calling, ensure you have a stable network connection. A poor or unstable network can disconnect your iPhone. If your iPhone has no signal bars, you may experience call failure errors.
- Update iOS: If your iPhone is not running the latest version, it could have problems making calls. Go to Settings > General > Software Update, and if an update is available, download and install it.
Fix 1: Enable or Disable Wi-Fi Calling
If you still experience call drops on your iPhone, try using Wi-Fi calling. It allows you to make and receive calls over a Wi-Fi network instead of a cellular network.
To enable Wi-Fi calling on an iPhone:
Step 1: Navigate to Settings > Mobile Service > Wi-Fi Calling .
Step 2: Turn on Wi-Fi Calling on This iPhone .

Note: For this fix to work, your carrier must support Wi-Fi calling. If you’re unsure, contact your carrier for assistance.
Fix 2:Reset Network Settings
A network glitch on your iPhone can hang up the phone when you call someone. iOS offers an option to reset network settings on the iPhone. Here’s how:
Step 1: Open Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone .
Step 2: Select Reset > Reset Network Settings .
Step 3: Enter your device passcode to confirm.

Fix 3: Update Carrier Settings
Carriers frequently roll out network updates to improve coverage. Typically, these updates are included with iOS releases, but you can also manually update your iPhone’s carrier settings. Here’s how.
