- Check if Picture-in-Picture is enabled for the Telegram app on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Turn off the battery-saver feature in the Telegram app by going to Settings > Power Saving > turn off permissions that restrict in-app features.
- Clear the Telegram app cache on your iPhone or Android phone.
Basic Fixes
- Force quit and relaunch Telegram : This will give the app a fresh start on your iPhone or Android phone.
- Update or reinstall Telegram : Doing this will remove all bugs in the current version that might be causing the issue.
1. Check if Picture-in-Picture Is Enabled
Depending on your device, check if the feature is enabled to be used on Telegram.
On iPhone
Open Settings > General > Start PiP Automatically .
On Android
Step 1: Long-press the Telegram app icon and select App Info .
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on Display Over Other Apps > enable the Allow Display Over Other Apps toggle.

2. Turn off Power Saving Mode
Power Saving mode can prevent the Picture-in-Picture mode from working on Telegram to conserve battery life.
Step 1: Open Telegram on your iPhone or Android and tap on Settings .
Step 2: Tap on Power Saving > choose to turn off permissions to restrict all resource-intensive processes.

Fix 3: Clear Telegram Cache
On iPhone
Step 1: Open Telegram on your iPhone and go to Settings .
Step 2: Select Data and Storage and tap on Storage Usage .

Step 3: Tap on Clear Entire Cache .
On Android
Step 1: Long-press the Telegram app icon and select App Info .
Step 2: Tap on Storage and Cache and select Clear Cache .
