- Sign in to Spotify > Account > Account Overview > Check your current subscription plan.
- Open Spotify on your web browser> Account > Account Overview, then click Update to fix the payment method.
Basic Fixes
- Check your internet connection: If Spotify is not opening or loading on your Apple TV, check your internet connection.
- Force quit and relaunch the app: If you have enabled Click and Swipe on your Apple TV remote, press the TV button twice > Swipe right to look for apps > Swipe up to remove the app.
- Update or Reinstall the Spotify app: Visit the App Store on your Apple TV to install the latest version of Spotify.
- Check the server status: Visit DownDetector to check if Spotify servers are functioning well in your area.
Fix 1: Check if the Device Limit Has Exceeded
If you are using a Spotify Premium account , a certain device limit is attached to your subscription. For example, you can stream up to six devices simultaneously with a Spotify Premium Family subscription. So check if the device limit has exceeded.
Step 1: Open the web browser on your computer and then visit Spotify website .
Step 2: Sign in to your Spotify account. Click the Profile icon and then choose Account .
Step 3: On the Account Settings page, select Account Overview from the left menu.

Step 2: Scroll down and then check your current Spotify subscription plan .
Fix 2: Check Your Payment Method
While you are checking your Spotify Premium subscription plan, we also suggest checking your payment method.
Open Spotify on your web browser> Account > Account Overview, then click Update to fix the payment method .
